From Florence and Benoit Chazallon of Château de la Selve, the Cros des Calades wines are made from some of their neighbours' grapes. All organic of course, and the vinification is along the same lines as at Ch. de la Selve - minimal intervention and respectful of year and terroir. The red is soft and fruity, but really benefits from the Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend giving it some extra structure, pulling ( in a good way! ) in a different direction from the Grenache and Syrah in the blend. Easy drinking, red fruits and gentle tannins.
