Fabien Jouves Haute Côt de Fruit 2023

This is Fabien's cuvée from 20 year Malbec vines from various parcels, all farmed organically and eventually on their way to biodynamic certification. He favours a light extraction here, with destemming of the grapes and a short maceration on the skins, to give a supple Malbec for drinking in the first five years of its life. No compromises are made, and the wine is neither fined nor filtered, and it only receives a tiny dose of SO2 at bottling.

You can expect a wonderful silky texture and a medium-bodied palate packed with cherries, raspberries, and notes of forest fruits. The finish is persistent and long, with hints of chocolate and lingering spice. Wine made by a master...
