Aged in concrete tank to preserve the primary character of the fruit, this 100% Merlot is a fabulous example of modern, affordable Bordeaux. From your first dip into the glass you know where it is from, but there is no ill-advised use of oak and the focus is to express the terroir and present a wine to be drunk within its first five years. It has all the tannin and fruit you need to accompany a decent steak or grilled lamb chop. Gorgeous stuff!
