Martin Diwald Zündstoff Maischegärung 2021

Martin made this skin contact wine in 2014 as an experiment, and it was so successful he has never looked back. From a special part of his Altweingarten vineyard, this is Grüner Veltliner as you rarely taste it - the wine has almost two weeks of skin contact and then is aged in old French oak barrels for a year before bottling with the minimum dose of SO2. Butterscotch, spice, lemon peel and a broad, textured palate give this great depth and complexity. Fabulous wine which we love.
