Poivre d'Ane Pur Sang Grenache 2022

Delicious infusion style Grenache from limestone soils in L'Isle sur-la-Sorgue southeast of Chateauneuf-du-Pape. After a short whole bunch fermentation of around 6 days, the idea being not to extract very much tannin, the grapes are pressed and passed into tank. The wine is "Pur" in every way - with fruit that would illuminate a galaxy it is so bright, easy tannin tannins and fine acidity. As always at Poivre d'Ane the SO2 level is tiny but there is no funk here, just a beautiful wine that is the essence of Grenache.
