Fabien has not stopped for a second since taking over the family property some years ago – he is a real force of nature. Certified organic in 2009 and biodynamic two years later, proper farming of the vines has always been his priority. He is one of the leaders of the new wave of producers here, friendly with everyone and always willing to help new, younger producers, be that advice, help with export, or even a corner of his cellar.

The vineyards here, up on the plateau in Cahors, are on various soil types and Fabien bottles many cuvées from different sites on his estate. He also uses different fermentation and ageing vessels including clay, stainless steel, wood and concrete. Manure from biodynamically tended cattle is used in the vineyards as well as the full spectrum of biodynamic techniques and preparations.

Quite simply these are some of the finest wines being made in Cahors and Fabien - despite having more than 2 decades of vintages behind him - is still very young, with much to come in the future!
